Lil Mouse

“Hello boys and girls. My name is Lil Mouse and I live in the farmhouse kitchen. I am always busy because there are so many things to do. I have to do the cleaning and the polishing, the making of the beds, the sweeping of the floors and all the tidying up. Phew it’s hard work.

My best friend on Wigglebottom farm is Sally. She is a wonderful friend and she always has time for a chat, even if she does keep getting her words mixed up. I have lived on the farm all of my life. I used to live here with my family but they all decided to move house. I did not want to leave my friends behind so I decided to stay here. Now have a big house all to myself.

My favourite food is strawberries and I’m very lucky because there are lots and lots that grow in Farmer John’s vegetable garden. They are biggest, juiciest strawberries in the whole wide world (tee hee).

My dream is to make the most beautiful blanket. Every time I find a piece of cloth I fold it carefully and put in my apron pocket. One day I will have enough to sew a huge blanket. Sally said she would help with the weaving. When it is finished I am going to give it to Farmer John and the Farmer’s Wife. It will be my way of saying thank you for being so nice and for letting me stay in this lovely place.
